‘Children of Blood and Bone’ Film Adaptation Announces Star-Studded Cast

The much-anticipated film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s best-selling novel, “Children of Blood and Bone,” has announced its star-studded cast. Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and produced by Paramount Pictures, the film features Thuso Mbedu as Zélie, Amandla Stenberg as Amari, and Damson Idris as Inan. Renowned actors Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Idris Elba, Lashana Lynch, and Chiwetel Ejiofor also join the ensemble. Set in the mythical African kingdom of Orïsha, the story follows Zélie’s quest to restore magic and overthrow an oppressive monarchy. Filming is scheduled in South Africa, with a release date of January 15, 2027.
